You could be changing them in a couple of years.

The rover OE are about £67 plus VAT each.

Jules recommended the Unipart ones - I got them for £30 each. he's had them on his ZT for 4 years so far.

Based over in Dewsbury, bought one march this year. Fitted fine and still going strong. They also do a good deal on brakes, I've bought front and rear discs, pads and shoes ( 175,000 on the original discs)

I wouldn't have any problem using them again

Made from warm chocolate, mine lasted under 6k, fitted OEM now ;)

Edit: Stay away from cheap droplinks as well :)

Thanks for your replies and experiences.

Its difficult to know what to do. It seems that with these cheaper parts its a bit of a lottery if you get decent quality.

I have had several sets of Disks and pads off ebay and have been completely satisfied with performance and mileage achieved. Also suspension parts for a previous Peugeot.

Certainly I think the OEM bushes are a joke at £160 for the pair - for that you could have two or three of the cheaper ones. Since I will not be keeping the Rover long term, I think I will risk them.

Thanks ...

Can't comment on those Phil but the bushes I supply are tried and tested on our own Cars and are approved in the Motor industry :smilie_re:

Hi, I bought some of these last week. They look like the uprated ones in the pictures posted and had Bilstein on the box. Look really solid.

Oh my Gawd! Just bought a couple of cheap droplinks to get one side through the MOT. Other side was OK but was going to change it anyway but didn't have the correct size crows foot spanner so only did the one.

Just as well - will keep the spare to use when the cheapie packs up.:)

Cheers

I got QH ones from http://www.britishcarparts.uk.com/ part numbers are EMS 8221 and 8222.
These were £15 + vat each around a year ago think delivery was around £10 haven't any problems so far.
I did look at the Ebay ones but had read of a few members having problems with them and opted for a better known brand.

The castings of the Unipart bushes I supply are almost identical to OEM.
The cheaper type castings are much more crude in the flesh and less metal used.
But if your pocket will only stretch to budget types then fair enough but it's another case "Caveat emptor"
