Steering wheel controls

Hi

I tried the search facility without success, I'm hoping this is a common issue that has an easy fix.

I've owned my Mg zt-t for about 2 months and over the last couple of weeks the radio controls on the steering wheel have stopped working.

They worked fine when I had the car but have worked less and less recently and now don't work at all, and suggestions.

The radio is stock, doesn't look like it's been changed.

If it's a factory fitted Kenwood unit, the remote controls are infra-red, there is a LED that should be clipped to the underside of the eyebrow above the unit. The usual problem is that it gets dislodged or moved and can't 'see' the unit, or something on the shelf is blocking its 'view'.

That was a result.

I had a couple of CD's in the little shelf that must have been blocking the signal.

Aren't forums great.
