Hi,am new to MGs and this site, just taken ownership of a 53 plate MGZT,the car is ace ,drives great.Only real problem is when put int reverse neither the lights or reverse sensor beeper is working. Not much good with cars to be honest.Have checked fuse and thats ok.Have been told it could be a switch on gearbox. If so is it easy to get hold of and replace ??.Any help from anyone would be appreciated, regards NigeeB

Sounds like a faulty switch, which is a quite common failure. If it's a diesel the switch is costs between £5 & £10 and fits into the gearbox end through the nearside wheel arch. 10 minute fix.
