Hi all
I have been thinking about changing the carpet on my 75 as mine has a burn on the near side passenger foot well, it is about the size of an orange, it looks like a liquid burn of some sort. How easy is it to change a carpet, is it stuck down, are there any problems that I might come across.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

John

to change the carpent on most cars, its quite involved.
basically, you have to take out everything that is bolted to the floor, which includes seats, centre console, all trim pannels on the floor and anything else thats bolted or stuck down. they can also be quite trickey to refit, but with a bit of patience and a lot of time, it can be done...

My mother's fairly new and not inexpensive carpet (lounge and stairs) has in a number of places what some might describe as liquid burns or even adhesive damage. There was nay problem until she bought and used a light, high-spinning upright vac.....hmm?
