And what can I do about it?

Noticed something dangling down behind the mesh under the front number plate yesterday - seems to be a connector that should be plugged into something.

Is it an obvious thing that can easily be plugged back into wherever it's from, or is it going to be more of a PITA?

Looks like the outside temp sensor, brackets have been known to fail.

Edit: 3 mins, not bad for this early in the morning :D

It fits in the O/S top corner of the lower grille your left as you look at the front of the car. Take the triangular foglight access panel out & you should be able to get your paws in to reattach it.............in your pic it looks like it has come off the bracket in which case it just pops back on, but if the bracket has dropped off then the later ones were just glued to the bumper with a glob of black stuff

Excellent, thanks gents (and yes, that was properly rapid for the time of day, stocktake!).

At least it doesn't mean the engine is about to fall off, and will keep till I can have at look at it over the weekend.
