Theses are a few of my favourites:

http://www.cartrefcaravansite.co.uk/ Well kept, beautiful little site, only 5 miles from home, but it feels a world away!. The owners can't do enough for you.

http://clunvalleycamping.co.uk/ Very basic site with reasonable facilities. Cracking real ale festival around here later in the year. Free transport between the pubs too............very enjoyable.

http://www.lligwybeachcampsite.co.uk/ A 30 second walk on to the beautiful beach. Fairly good facilities, but a little expensive.

Where are the "under ten pound a night sites", including electricity and 2 adults and awning in Dorset /Devon ?

I think it depends when you want to go. Mon-Fri off peak can be quite cheap.

Caravan club members get some good £7 per night stuff, but in general, prices have increased a lot over the last 2 years.

Average for the 4 of us, with awning and hook-up is somewhere between £20-£30 per night at the bigger sites these days......but probably nearer £30.

Small pubs in quiet locations often have a few pitches out the back, similar to this:

No idea of their prices though.

Here is a cheap but good CL site.
Also has an "overflow" field away from the CL which is south facing.
Facilities are electric hook up and water stand pipe.
Very quiet, 10 min walk to the coast
Bus stop just outside the site.
Lovely area, brilliant pubs:}

Located just outside Chichester.

And where I grew up as a child every other weekend, its a nice basic site but great access to Portrush and the major tourist spots!

Does anyone have a van on a site that they rent out? :}

Prices of Holiday cottages seem to have gone sky high this year for some reason.. :(

One I have been using in Dorset went from £400 to £550 for a week! :(

So now I am looking for an alternative.. Requirements are..

Two beds, (for 2 adults) one small dog. Enclosed garden. Somewhen in May and September 2011.. :}

If Lyme Regis is any good to you try the following.

hayefarmholidays.com

I went there a couple of years ago and was really impressed.
Electricity and heating included in the price.
