Im sure this will interest a lot of people, but whats your MPG when towing wit your 75/zt?

I know my we trailer fully loaded (about 750kg all in) knocks my mpg down on the dump runs.

So whats the real world towing figures for the petrol and diesel varients, also roughly what weight are you towing!

This will be an interesting read as I really want a caravan in the summer. :D

Normally I get about 40 mpg but only do short runs.
Towing reduces that to about 30mpg plus or minus 3mpg,
depends on the hills and the gear changing or being on a motorway.

The max weight is 1255 kg.

Towing a 1200Kg caravan last summer, about 300 miles there and 300 back, it did around 32mpg. That was pre-Synergy, pre doing the PCV and the EGR when it was doing around 42-43 mpg solo. I have now got my solo mpg up to around or close to 50mpg, so I would expect a bit better mpg next time I tow.

I regularly tow an 8'x4' trailer with 2' sides loaded to the brim. I drop about 20-25% (35/36mpg), despite having a cover which I thought would stop the tailgate acting as a parachute!. Long runs at a steady speed seem to be less than 10% down though (about 40mpg).

I only get 30 mpg at best towing a loaded car transporter though.

Same here, I have an 02 plate and a Synergy and an EGR bypass fitted. 50 MPG solo @70mph so 30-32 seems about average [up to now]

I have the 75 tourer cdt and on my first trip with 1300 kg van, 4 adults and an 8 year old with all the gear that goes with it I was amazed at 32 mpg from Coventry to Ilfracombe and considering I had swapped from a land rover discovery 300 tdi you can imagine the smile on my face when I worked out the consumption (20 with the disco towing)
