I've not towed with the 75 but I did have a set of MAD spring assister's on my Sterling and they were very good, the car remained pretty much level, even when fully loaded. I did also have a pair of Monroe Reflex shocks and the outfit was very stable. Have a look at the pics in the caravan thead.

I was considering fitting a pair myself, just to stop her bottoming out. Here are a pair:

I fitted a pair of Grayston ones from Halfords on my sagging Tourer,,,brought up the ride level to where it should be and is firmer when towing. In all...a good result and far cheaper than replacing the springs, although I will do that as well in due course!

Er, yes they are under certain circumstances.

As in the nose weight of the caravan on the rear suspension, plus a lot of weight in the car and on bumpy roads. They are not normally essential fit.

I use a spring type stabiliser, which not only helps damp the weaving, but also provides the rear springs with some assistance by pushing the rear end of the car up as it is fitted. With that in place on my last car, I added some spring assisters out of curiosity and found they didn't make much difference - except on extreme surfaces.
