View Full Version : Reverse Camera problem

I have just fitted a Traffic master unit (the one behind the instruments) and now seem to have a problem.

The camera now shows a black screen, a black screen with a grey line down the right side, a proper picture with a bit of fuzziness or a picture like it should.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern as to which one will be shown next.

I haven't touched the double din or any of its wireing.

Is there any way I could have introduced any interference with connecting the traffic master CPU? There are only 3 wires to connect.

Not sure if it's my fault or just a coincidence.

Any help will be appreciated.

Andy

1st thing to do is remove what you put in and then re check the camera function. If there's still an issue, start trouble shooting the camera wiring

Will probably do that tommorrow after I've changed the brakes and go from there.

Thanks for replying.

Is the camera hard wired or wireless?

The connections may have been disturbed when fitting the traffic thingy.

Sorry, should have mentioned its a wired camera.

Will check all the connections tommorrow as well.

Thanks

Went to getthe car out of the garage to change the brakes and the camera is now working.

It's not as clear as it was but there is only a slight fuzziness to the picture now.

Must have tried it a couple of dozen times and the picture came up everytime.

Wondering if I got any water in it from washing the car the night before.

If it doesn't get any better after a few days will have another look.

Thanks for the suggestions.
