View Full Version : BMW Adaptor/wiring to Seans double din?

Ok local user will be buying the double din (current gen, none android) and hes currently got the Highline TV unit but also the harman kardon set-up.

What wiring is he going to need so that he can simply keep all the excitingly set-up and keep things simple.

Hi Colin
If he has the BMW Round Pin adaptor then there is an adaptor that converts it to ISO , It is about £5 on Ebay

The rest is the same, unless he/she has Infrared steering , then there is one wire to change

If the High Line TV unit is fitted, the head unit has not got a BMW connector, it is fed from the units in the boot.

That bit seems to vary - if you look behind the front ashtray, you may find there is the plug needed tucked down there behind the loom.

The HK setup includes the amp, the amp will not work after the DD is installed - however it can be got going again with a little effort. I documented the process a while ago.
