air , fuel filters , over fuelling , faulty maf sensor. Guessing if you have fsh smart money would be on the maf sensor.

the car has recently been serviced by ex rover dealer, the air filter is new as i had to fit as they forgot!
i have just replaced pcv as blocked and cleaned out the intercooler recently

Unplug the maf sensor and take it a good run on a bypass to see if there is any noticable difference in smoke levels.
Did you also clean out the egr valve ?

If its not a faulty maf sensor, then check the intercooler hoses and seals.

Happy days, just sit down if the dealers are to supply a replacement as there are £££'s.Failing that pm RoverRon for a magic box of tricks to solve it once and for all.
