Anyway on a a more serious note ;)

The cat has to removed from the downpipe and placed on a couple of flanges which you can bolt on for the MOT test.The easiest option is to have the front section manufactured out of stainless steel,as is your back box.

:sissy::puke::panic::panic::panic::panic:What makes you think that:D:D:getmecoat:
Just a hunch:D

Why not fit it & then get a voluntary emissions check done & then you have nearly 12 months to enjoy it before the next test:shrug:

Biggest problem i have now,it has a plug for the lambda sensor,how will this affect the running.:shrug::getmecoat:

eurorover
13th September 2011, 22:34
you will have to fit the sensor or you will be putting nothing but petrol in. I would get it all fitted and take it to be tested and see what happens

Would it not be simpler then to get a janspeed sports cat for a ZS 120 surely then and that would solve the issuewhilst solving MOT issues? :}

Assuming yours is the 1.8 from photo lol. ;)

The lambda sensor is pre cat anyway so you should fit it that one will read the same as it allways has it's the second sensor that will read different but I doubt you will have any real problems with the emissions I was told by a guy at the scrapyard the 1st cat pipe is worthless as scrap metal It's the second one that does the work

The problem with sports 'cats' is that they are so small they hardly work so needn't be there. fit the exhaust Ronnie and enjoy, worst case senario if it doesn't meet the emissions at mot swap it back - 30 mins :)

I've got my eye on them on ebay as well, would be interested to hear what you think of it, our exhaust has gone at the front and back, so would need most of a full system, got a quote from longlife for a cat back at £300 and a full system with sports cat at £600, buying one of these for between £60 and £100 depending how you buy it seems like a good start.
