Great picture Freddie and glad to see I sneeked onto the end of it ;)
I had a great time at my first meet and it was a pleasure to meet the people behind the names we all know so well. Its just a shame I had to be the first to leave! Thanks to all those who organised and stewarded the day.
Here's looking forward to the next one......

Cracking day today, when I get round to it I'll post some pics. Great to put faces to names and I've picked up some ideas for fiddling with the car. The only downer was nearly being rear-ended by some scrote in a VW Toerag who doesn't understand 30 is a limit, not a minimum!:mad:
Good to meet Reebs, Dragrad and actros.

Thanks to all concerned for a great day. All good people, all good weather, lovely cars. Thanks Dave for plumbing the depths of my plenum and your hospitality. Looking forward now to the next.
I even won a raffle prize! Although my gratitude knows no bounds, I fear the prize will be wasted on me. It's Corel Digital Studio Photo Video Music Burn Share Thingy. I presume that must mean something to someone. If anyone who bought a raffle ticket and didn't win a prize, pm your address to me and I'll send it to you post free.

What a fantastic day! :D Failed to meet you all, having to be on duty :( But to all the new faces, and old, thank you for attending, and I must say what a welcome we received :D You "locals" were a pleasure to meet for the first time, I hope that you can make other National Meets:)
Some amazing coindences with a member of the museum support team joining on the spot :} And another couple who joined on the day, after only coming to visit the museum. Welcome to you all and thank you for joining the line up :D:D
Worth the journey from West Wales to the furthest point East of the UK :} The expressions of support for the Club was overwhelming, and it makes our (the Team's) efforts all worthwhile :bowdown::)
Thank you all.....

Left Flixton at 1725 today, arrived home 233 miles later including a stop for a bite to eat at 2150 - knew there was a reason I'd got a V8, mind you I think the mpg has suffered :D:D:D.
Got to be the best meet todate, pleasant meal last night at the Travelodge with Reebs, Parker, Dragrad, Actros & co, a great turn out today at Flixton and the weather was kind to us except for when the heavens opened around 3.00pm.
Kept trying to take photo's but kept getting waylaid by somebody or other so only managed to take 14 and 4 of them were whilst the rain was falling, I have managed to record about 20 minutes of video which I'll edit asap and post the link soonest.
It was nice to be approached by Bill with the ailing 260 he's owned for five weeks for advice. He isn't a member of either this forum or the Two-Sixties and had just come for a day out with his good lady to the venue. He sought me out as my V8's bonnet was open, he'd spotted the mustang engine and started asking questions about the problem with the heater output on his car. I'd had exactly the same problem with mine earlier on in the year and was able to advise what he needs to do to resolve the issue. It's nice when you can do that, it's what this club and forum is all about. He also really appreciated when we suggested he bring his car on site rather than leaving it on the carpark. He then went on to have a long chat with Peter (Harrygsi), he again sought me out before he left - you know I think we all made his day.
I'm hoping that both this club and the Two-Sixties will soon have a new member.

Thanks folks making me feel welcome and at ease for my first national meeting, put faces to names. It really was a lovely day and great to see so many fine motors all gleaming with pride as though they had just been driven out of the showroom.
Thanks to Beejay (Barry) who spotted the front bumper had dropped on the S reg and to Rabett Rover (Lewis) who helped me to lift it back on, secure it and reattach the underside curtain with his box of tricks! What a great club this is.
Thanks to the Aviation museum for providing such a wonderful venue :}
I could not believe it when my raffle ticket came up for the 3rd time , so I passed it over for lady luck to smile sweetly on someone else :D

Excellent day. Nice to be back home. I used to live near Flixton, was born in Ipswich. Now live in north Wales - Rhosllannerchrugog to be exact. That word really confounded my spellchecker ! Am now 257 miles away, and looking forward to the next meet. When's the next one. Lands end John 'o' Groats ? I don't care. Just a good reason to jump in a 75 and let it do what it does best. Eat the miles by the hundreds.

Gary,
It's been a hard day at work and I really hate computer keyboards that cannot spell.

If you want to bring it down to mine anytime I have an Aqua vac, we could clean it out thoroughly. Nice to meet you, we are getting quite a decent group around Maldon, Danbury, Dengie, I've had 3 75/ZTs so know my way around most problems:D Dave

What a super meet it was! I got up and 6am loaded up the car and gave it a wash, before heading down to meet everyone at the services at 8:30am. The convoy went well, by well I mean we got split in two and lost at the first roundabout, but anyway lets not talk about that:D.
It was a rather nice journey up, the half of the convoy I was in, lead by CFS75, with Monte Carlo, Godders75 and JimA. We sailed through the Suffolk countryside, and went through a little village called Bramfield where my family is originally from, and since I’ve never been it was rather nice to see it, or be it just in passing.
Flixton was a lovely venue, with all sorts of interesting aircraft including a Canberra, Lightning and one of the original ‘mock up’ Spitfires used in the 1969 Battle of Britain film. There were some fascinating artefacts there too, including parts of German V2 rockets and a several pieces of a Dornier downed over Martlesham by Battle of Britain Ace Robert Stanford Tuck.
Starbug2 had the ‘Jurgen’ luck at the raffle, managing to walk away with a new TV, Popcorn maker and something else:D My thanks also go to Stephen (starbug2) for helping me clear my parts away when the rains came in the afternoon.
All in all a super meet:}
Now for some photos...

Lewis, I'm pleased that you enjoyed your trip through Suffolk. I forgot to mention that I am a blue badge Tour Guide - I should have passed the hat round on arrival at Flixton! (It was not me who got the convoy lost!)

It was a great convoy indeed:D
I did go round the roundabout twice to slow the group down (my excuse anyhow)
Still our part of the convoy got their first :getmecoat: even if we did take a little detour into farm county and for that I lay the blame on Sean (radio guy) and Tony Fry and his maps!!! Had nothing to do with me not listening to directions given;)
