MP3 filing system

When playing MP3's on the Sean DD, it shows two columns - left hand with just 01: in it at the top and right with a vertical list of the MP3 files and the one it is playing highlighted in yellow. I have all of my files in the root of the SD card, but I'm wondering....

Does that left hand column mean I can put files into separate sub-directories on the card, which I could select from the left hand column?

.and the answer is, YES you can.

Any sub-directories appear on the left 01 being the root, others appearing below them and you can click on them, its content appearing in the right hand column.

yes, i have mine arranged so left hand colum is albums and right hand is tracks, the right colum is populated with the contents of whichever album you select in the left hand colum.
