View Full Version : Heated wing mirrors that I didn't know I had?

Sitting in a drive-through this afternoon, I took the opportunity to clean some muck off the wing mirror glass with a cloth - only to find the glass of the mirror (not the body, just the glass) incredbily hot to the touch.

A quick wind down of the window on the opposite side - ditto - one hot mirror glass.

I know this sounds weird, but I have no idea - does the Rover 75 have heated mirrors or have I got a problem?

Both the mirrors move fine when I select them and wiggle the joypad.

Yes it's been a reasonably warm day and the mirrors were pointed into the Sun, but I can't imagine it would warm them up to that degree - I've driven it home in the dark tonight and, although not quite so hot, the mirror glass still seems to be radiating some heat!

Hello D.

Welcome to the club and the forum.
Heated wing mirrors are standard on all 75s and ZTs. :)

Cheers for the reply - well ****** me, this car gets better every day

Why they don't switch off when it's 24deg outside I have no idea, but at least I know somewhere to keep my hands warm next time it's a bit parky!!

Cheers.
