Plastic locking collars?

Afterenoon guys.

Does anyone know how the red plastic locking collars within the black plastic housings are fitted in to the cam covers on the heads of the V6 please?

Are they easy to remove and refit, or are they fitted once and forever?

They just pull out, but they are not available separately so don't loose or break them.
