matching the remote key to car

Hi I have recently brought a 2001 rover 75 tourer deisel I have two keys both of which fit the car and start the car but only one will allow me to use the remote locking. I have fitted a new battery and tried again I have tried pressing the buttons four times in quick succession as it says in the hand book but this still does not work. Does anyone have any experience with this and know what I need to do to get it working. I would like to fit a new battery in the key that the remote does work on but I do not want to take the chance untill this one works any idea folks please? :shrug:

There are occasions where the remote board will no longer communicate with the car even if you try to reconfigure it on T4.

In that situation a replacement remote board with barcodes needs to be enabled to the car.

I can have a look for you and see your the car recognises the remote on T4 and try and resync it, if not then I do have replacement boards in stock ;)
