Got my fan working, by fitting new gold resistor.

Discovered the slam panel had some damage following the bump the car has sustained.

A replacement one from Debs old ZT was fitted and everything lined up nicely, thankfully the bump had only damaged the outer panels.

All back together now and awaiting a damn good clean.

Modified handbrake compensator fitted to Debs ztt as a bit of mot prep!

Well this morning, went into garage and started car. What’s that racket I said to myself? Turned it off. Started it again and noise still there. Lifted bonnet, and yes, it was the UBP. Sounded a bit like a tractor engine. No comments from you petrol guzzling gezzer’s. So at last, the UBP I bought from Rimmers 8 Or 9 years ago can be fitted tomorrow. 106,000 miles so not to bad I suppose. Hope it works because I suspect the guarantee is up now?

Odd Job 1st September 2019 17:40

Hi all.

Today I decided to have a look at my squealing N/S/R brake.

So, 3 cups of coffee and a few painkillers later, ( got a really bad back )

I found the absence of any grease on the pad carrier, no grease on the caliper sliders. So a very good clean down, grease where grease should be, and a coat of gloss chassis black paint to the visible areas on the caliper that you can see through the wheels, all is good!

Though I've found I need a new lower arm on the drivers side as the ball joint is shot.
Another item to the list!

I started yesterday, so today finishing refitting heater matrix, cut the end of the pipes off, to fit over two small hoses, instead of breaking my body even more, lol, it had alot of sludge in it, and with thanks to this forum, managed to unblock it.

Well this morning, good sunny weather, so started on changing the UBP at approx 10.00am. Finished and all aok at 1.00pm. That was after talking for 20 minutes to the gent up the road. Quite pleased as no leaks are visible.
