[hi steve i think these pictures are very appropriate this time of year. The bomber command crew are now being officially recognised at last. I hope Churchill and his cronies are turning in their graves:mad::getmecoat:
Lets hope the present boys n girls in the armed forces don't get treated the same:bowdown: Great pictures by the way:p: QUOTE=starbug2;1363014]http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...66001303_n.jpg my arty shot http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...40310754_n.jpg bev's arty shot http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...11595617_n.jpg she saw it first[/QUOTE] |
alas the forces don't always get what they should post action ... but we can not forget what they did ..:bowdown::bowdown: and honour the memory of those past events and those who were involved and it should be a fact that the government should also and care for the survivors and their kin etc....... only fair .....

Bit of info. The original Just Jane. JB138. Completed over 100 operations between Aug 1943 and the last operation was on Jan 14/15 1945. JB 138 was struck off charge 16th October 1946. Records show it completed around 120 operations. Being representave of a Ton-up Lanks makes the East Kirkby Lancaster NX611 a very special lady indeed. To see her back in the air will be a fantastic tribute not only to the bomber Command crews but the Panton family . Thanks you and good luck with the venture :getmecoat:
