Comments appreciated. Leather seats were fitted March 2011 as part of complete overhaul carried out by Jules (see substantial list of parts replaced detailed in my first post).....and I think that the rear blind and cruise control switches were bought from you!!! LOL

1959 mini £15,000 !!

An early 75 has got to be worth more than Badgertone is asking !!
Talking of early builds..........
Take a look at this

Some of the story copied below:
What is thought to be the world's oldest unrestored Mini is expected to fetch about £15,000 when it is auctioned later this month.

The 1959 Austin Mini Se7en De Luxe is said by auctioneers Bonhams to be the eighth to roll of the Longbridge production line, three months before the car was officially launched.

The car was once owned by a Gladys Hobro of Aldwick in West Sussex before being bought by David Gallimore in 1986, who then kept it in his garage in Chichester until last year.

The Mini has just 30,041 miles on the clock, while the 848cc engine is said never to have been touched aside from a few maintenance checks. Beneath the rust on the bodywork you can see the Farina grey paint, and the car also retains its original registration plate (XLL 27) and even the glass washer bottle. Bonhams reports that the driver's door has been replaced, but that the rest of the car is completely original.

John Polson from Bonhams said: "The Mini is one of the most important cars of the 20th century. They have always been collectable.
