Düsseldorf
Hi guys,
May I suggest Düsseldorf in Germany, only 72 miles further. https://remise.de/duesseldorf https://www.google.com/search?client...h=696&dpr=1.25 Free entrance and a large changing collection of cars which are all for sale! They live off the sale of all the cars that are in the middle section of this former railway marshalling yard and from the possibility of storing your car in glass boxes - you can admire it all. If you come with a large group, they would like a registration; you can also get a guided tour Besides Düsseldorf is a wonderful city with beautiful shops and many terraces along the Rhine and the Old City. Worth a visit also is the high television tower within walking distance of the center from where you have a beautiful view. https://rheinturm.de/en/ And don't forget the Königsallee, one of the most luxurious shopping streets in europe. The ladies will love it :} https://www.duesseldorf-tourismus.de...n/koenigsallee Pim |
Almost forgot: diesel cars are not welcome in the centre unless they have a soot filter.

Arnhem might be a bridge too far for me .

There is a yearly event in Waalwijk, open for all British cars. It is partly organized by the MG Car Club Holland, so you're guaranteed to find other MGs there! They'll love actual Brits bringing their British cars, so do consider: https://www.britishautojumble.nl/
Also if you want to make it a little tour, this is one of our nicest automotive museums: https://www.louwmanmuseum.nl/ and this car dealer has a ton of classic (MG) cars: https://www.stolzeclassiccars.nl/ |
Having driven through the Netherlands from Germany to Hook of Holland on the 3rd October and have just received a Dutch speeding ticket apparently doing 103km (64mph) in a 90km stretch near Apledoorn. Tut tut of course but the fine was €160 inc. admin fee. (£142)
So beware the rather slow usual 100km speed limit on most 'A' roads. |
Having visited the Oosterbeek Wargraves many years ago I always thought in was in Arnhem, Gelderland
