Frimley 25th July meeting
Hi everybody. I look forward to attending for breakfast and meeting a lot more members
Hopefully a bit more sunshine than last time. |
Hi
Please add me to the list and eating. |
Peter, could you put Karen and myself down for this one please, both eating, thanks.
|
I'll be there Peter and eating.
|
Please put Jan & myself down, eating.
As per Denham the other week, I can't commit myself to much more than a week or 10 days in advance, at the moment. Regards Mike |
meet
Good to hear you going Mike.
|
With everything crossed Banana will be making the trip.
|
Hi Peter, all
Yes I plan to be there, and eating. I should also have the bits I'm expecting to pickup up from the Nano meet the day before... PeterH's CD unit from Scott.... Mike BRG's Wheel rim and two suspension legs from ? (... details Mike?) I'll have my Headlight polishing stuff with me too. I'm currently in Scotland having driven from Stevenage to Edinburgh and then across to Aviemore. Am I tempting fate to say my 75 V6 has behaved impeccably so far and not missed a beat? :D I'll not believe the 41.5mpg the display shows though! Only seen 2 other 75's the whole trip. Waved and exchanged flashed lights with one ... no response at all from t'other! Happy Roving all John |
Hi Pete, All going well I'm planning on turning up and eating too tho' might be a bit lagged from the Range Rover 50+1 anniversary meet at Gaydon on the day before so wake me if I nod off during breakfast! I'll also be bringing along some chrome trim that Jenny was after
|
Hi Peter, This might be a long shot but no promises can you put Dawn and myself down with breakfast, TBC! please. Many Thanks. Julien. |
Hi Julian,
Really hope you and Dawn can make it. Would be great to see you both again. Peter. |
Re post 14,
I have a pony express request to get the wheel rim and suspension legs to the nano. Provided that comes up trumps, then both Steve (Steve-45) and John (grout 20) have offered to bring them South, many thanks. Regards Mike |
Peter can you show me attending and eating please?

Last minute decision
I will be popping along to the Breakfast meet, Ive only just alerted been to this meet by our Good friend Bob Burgess, so this will be the first time I will be attending anywhere in my newly acquired ( last November)! ZT-T 180, I look forward to meeting many new faces and enthusing over Thier cars. See you all tomorrow. - Keith

Wow, what a turn out, well done Peter, well done to all attendees. Some fine examples of our machines, and some major efforts by several members covering many, many miles.
So lucky that the rain held off. |
I must concur, so much for the weather forecast saying it was going to rain, NOT!. What a brilliant turnout, we had the pleasure of Trikey and Debs, Marina Brian, and Shiner, Sharon, with LLoyd in tow, our first time down South for us in a long time to meet some long lost friends, popped in to see Lilian, Windrushes wife who has bee suffering for three months and at long last have got her medicine right she did look so well and long may she carry on doing so, anyway I think we had 21 cars turn up from all over, well done Peter for organising it. Other than the dreaded Heathrow snarl up we made it home in good time the M1 was running so smooth for a change. Rev. |
What a fantastic National Meet - well done to all involved. Great to see members coming all the way from from Cornwall, Newcastle, Norfolk, Yorkshire and other parts of the UK . I seem to have missed the presentations and raffle though - must have been in the Toby when they took place
I'll post some pics up later today or tomorrow :} Cliff |
Today
Yes, it was great and what a lovely surprise to see Trikey, Debs and Marina B as well as Actros and flying B complete with the Banana. Many thanks to Peter for organising a highly successful meet. Many thanks to Grout for polishing out the rear door, Trikey for fitting the new satnav unit, which works fine. Thanks to Bri for bringing it, and thanks to Peter for the tyre pressure things, and to Bob for bringing the wings. Thanks also to Nobby for the chrome trim - I have had a good day!
Super meet, torrential rain on way back, m25 flooded in places, horrendous, thanks goodness it didn't happen at the meet. |
Well done Peter for yet another great meet. Nice to see everyone including Brian, Andy, Debs and Meg.
Wishing Nora better. We made good time home, our only hold up was the pile of a stones in a field just past Amsbury. And we had glorious sunshine for most of the trip home. Going up we did it in 3 hours 15 minute. + 1 stop. Going home in 3 hours 25 minutes. + 1 stop. Round trip of 372 miles. All deliveries done. Will post up some photos after a cuppa or two. |
Yes, an absolute great meet, beyond my expectations, thanks all for attending. Highlight for me was the number of Rover75/MGZT Guru's that turned up. Shiner, Mike Noc and then my jaw dropped when Marina Brian and Trikey walked into the Conference Room that we have for Breakfast.
I have put the smiles per miles to Frimley on page 1 of the Thread. I am truly amazed at the distances travelled by folk that attended this Meet. Clear winner MB (301) Actros (196) FB (186) Rev J (145) Good to meet Keith (Busboy) As Cliff suggests virtually a National Meet. Thanks Grout20 for collecting the CD Changer from the Nano Meet. Stationary M3 - 1 mile from M25 was a pain in the rear. Managed to phone Shiner when stationary to warn others to avoid M3 North. Please note next Breakfast Meet Ugly Duckling 22nd August |
Thanks and well done Peter for organising such a great breakfast meet. First class line up of cars, some of which wouldn't have looked out of place at a concours event (not mine of course!).
A very enjoyable get together. :D :D :D |
Today
Yes it was truly amazing to have all the gurus, only missing Reebs for another Hi line lesson. A really fantastic turn out.
|
Sorry I missed it
Sorry I missed this one. My son borrowed my car as his Audi A4 is awaiting an mot test.
I have someone coming to view my Poseidon ZT-T on Thursday. It will be a wrench to see it go. That's if he turns up.... Still, no hurry... |

As others have said, a great meeting, thank you Peter for organising this.
The surprise attendance of leading names from the forum was a big bonus. As usual, beautiful photos. Mike & jan |
Arrived home at 23:30 yesterday, it was good to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones, a well organised meet at a nice venue.
Thanks to Shiner, Sharon and Lloyd for organising extra spaces for lunch and for showing us around the old transport research facility while we were in the area, the afternoon was spent dog walking and chatting, we even managed a quick tour of Beech hill garage (A proper garage with some lovely MG’s there) Reality hit when the 05:00 alarm went off this morning, hope to do this meet again soon. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...51965376a4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...27fbeba98a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...173105bad4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c0959ecca8.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...efbbdcd4ab.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c52828d7ac.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...df4ab3855d.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9d557b27f0.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...53fe967360.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...18db104ebb.jpg |

A great meet up as usual (no parking ticket this time either! :D:D )
As has already been said, great to see some old faces (oi, not so much of the old, mate!) and for the weather to hold off too. Thanks for the usual organisation Peter and to everyone for the friendly chat as always. Even better, my 75 just passed her MOT with no advisories so it's been a great few days! See you at The Ugly next month, and I'll bring my headlight polishing stuff along again in case anyone needs a rub down with some restorer! Happy Roving John |
