Midas 3rd November 2019 11:42

I Can confirm we are attending along with some members of the MGRSE, I assume you have a booking as I couldn't get on the book a table tab on the web page as they are saying there closed hopefully this is a glitch

harrisop48 3rd November 2019 12:09

Hi Bonnie,

They are closed for refurbishment at the moment.
The following message is on their Welcome page.

"We are now closed and reopen from the 9th of November 2019. we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

You cannot book Breakfast tables on line. I left a message with them last week and will go there personally next week and make sure everything is OK.

I have a plan B if they are not open on the 17th. I will switch the meet to the Staverton at Maidenhead. Have you any idea how many of the MGRSE crew are coming?

Peter.

Midas 3rd November 2019 12:25

That's Fab, So far there is me, Alan, Adam, Rob, Larry, Jo, Jane and Simon plus 4 youngsters all in 75s bar Alan who will be in his BRM,

grout20 3rd November 2019 16:18

Hi Peter and all

Sorry, can't make this one ... wedding anniversary that day and I can't persuade wife, kids, grandkids and dog to come to the Ugly for breakfast!
Well ... the dog probably would!
Looks like I'm gonna miss a good one too! :duh:

Ugly Duckling Refurb complete and open

I called in this morning and confirmed the booking for Sunday around 22 of us.
As per previous threads I cannot book Frimley for 8th Dec due to Santa being a flaming nuisance and being there that morning. BAH HUMBUG!!!! or thoughts to that effect. Feral excited Kids I want to avoid.
However the Duckling can take our booking. Will discuss with you all on Sunday morning.
I have avoided 15th Dec as PeciUrwin and KeithSta are on a jolly I.O.W W/E.

New Parking arrangement

All regulars are aware of the New Parking arrangement at The Ugly Duckling.
However Newbies must ensure when they arrive, go into the Pub and key in your car Reg No on their system. There is no Parking charge for Customers.
You can then go back outside for a chat if you are early.

jim_k 15th November 2019 23:37

yes will have Jake with me. can take a look at headlights but will spray coat them in warmer times. i can clean off any frosting no problem at all. will make them look like new in 10 mins.

Raven Black 16th November 2019 09:14

Lights

I paid a lot to have my rear light polished a few months ago and now it looks like it did before it was done, any suggestions? It's the new type and left one is the problem.

jim_k 16th November 2019 16:31

I've not done rear lights before but can't see why they would not polish up with the Maguire kits I use. online and I think Halfords do it too, you can can buy uv proof coating that you can spray on. this seals the surface. you need a bright summer day and masking to do this.

Seablue 16th November 2019 16:45

Hi Peter,

Please add me to the list for breakfast.

Many thanks and see you tomorrow

Stephen
