Blue mk1 75 abandoned?

Just off the forth road bridge northbound. Parked up with stickers on window but didn't see the stickers properly. May of been put on by police? Stolen? Looks nice, shame.

Coups 2nd July 2015 15:24

There's a black 190 on a 51 plate sitting in a bus bay on the A90 towards Dundee near Longforgan. Been there a few days now.......

Probably "Police Aware" stickers, saves everybody driving past phoning about it. Need to have been there a couple of days for them to do that though. Doubtful stolen, wouldn't have been left there if it was, more likely a breakdown.

Ravinder 2nd July 2015 17:51

Apparently it's been there for a couple of weeks or thereabouts. Shame.

Ravinder 3rd July 2015 21:09

I could do with a few parts myself!

allyandfi 4th July 2015 09:37

Ravinder ,try u pull it at inverkeithing. Got my battery cover, and a few bits and bobs there . You just take it off the cars they have there.

Yes, I've been to that scrappy before. Been a good year or so since I last visited. I was planning to make a visit quite soon and have a walk about and see what I could find.

jackatesme 6th July 2015 19:28

Welsh number plate, maybe someone gone up there for the rugby forgot where he parked it and walked home.:D

Ravinder 7th July 2015 00:02

Long walk!

Ravinder 7th July 2015 11:28

Does anyone know if the 75 is still there? The reason I ask is because I saw a recovery truck go past my work in Dunfermline with a 75 on the back of it. I wonder if it's the same one

Coups 7th July 2015 13:12

If it's not moved by the owner within 7 days of that notice being attached to the car the council will contact a local scrappy to uplift it...... Seems way to good for that.

Ravinder 7th July 2015 13:28

I might drive across the bridge to see if it's there. If it has gone to a scrappy, is there a way of finding out which one its gone to?

Walter 7th July 2015 13:31

Let your fingers do the walking

Was there 20 mins ago

AURORA MG 7th July 2015 14:34

I thaught the days of leaving cars at the side of the road died out in the late 90's/early 2000's with metal prices. Can't see why anyone would do it whichever cos even if a car has had it a scrappy will pay something for it or take it free. I guess they will only be left at the roadside if the metal prices are so low the scrappy wishes to charge to remove a car. Owner also would be liable for back tax & removal costs I would assume so a bit daft IMO.

Shame too as it looks a good car. Agree with what is said phone scrap yards but being as it is to be removed by the council it may have an immediate destruction order on it!

Ravinder 7th July 2015 14:34

I must of seen a different one then. Always a shame to see one being recovered.

coab 7th July 2015 20:57

if its a 1.8 the head gasket has given up again! If its a kv6 its one of Colin NI `s cars (or mine) and if a diesel its in tank pump has failed.:p:
Or its stolen and he is walking down the road looking for Taggart!:D

Ravinder 8th July 2015 16:57

Noooooo. V6 is bullet proof! What would I know? I'm a diesel owner!:D

lionatus 14th July 2015 22:13

Diesel untaxed since 5th March according to DVLA https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

Oh and my mate fixes up scrap cars, since the US flooded market with metal the scrap price has dropped from 220 last July to 35 this July. So a scrapper has to dismantle and sell spares to make any money due to getting rid of fluids etc. I doubt he was pulling my leg he was offering me cars for as little as 50 quid just to get rid and he knows I know the same salvage guys.

mac61 15th July 2015 20:31

Still There

Robti 20th July 2015 05:50
