How does map pocket come off?
I want to remove the leather cover and map pocket from the drivers seat.
How does map pocket come off. It is a stiff board type macafee2 |
Simple answer Ian, with difficulty:cool: There's a "How to " somewhere:}
I know when mine came loose at the top, I drilled and fitted a self tapper to fix it. Found it https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=60562 |
Best to practice on a "spare" seat first, those clips are really brittle:eek:

Well thanks for asking this as both mine are hanging off beyond repair so off for a read to see if i can just pull the pocket off to tidy up a bit although mine are the soft flexible ones

if your talking about behind the seats, you need to remove the rear hard plastic panel. You can then carefully drill the top off the plastic weld points and then remove the rigid out edge bits (usually broken) which you can re glue /weld together .
Using self tapper screws , fix it back to the panel , re fit to seat. Hardest part is getting the whole rear panel off and on. |
oh, I forgot, I'll add some pictures and info that may help others.

Do you know if all the seat backs/map pockets use a common former/fastening layout - I've the leather front 'Sports' seat version on my Contemporary SE and at some point intend to replace the OEM heater thermostats. Do you know if there are two thermostats/seat (1x squab, 1x backrest) and if they are embedded in the foam infill or the elements |
