How to play home made CDs in our cars
Following on from my previous post last year when I wondered why I couldn't play my own generated CDs, I can now safely say I've cracked it.
1 Find the tune/song you want off YouTube, and copy the URL. This needs to be converted to MP3 format. There are many on the web but I use this one here. It's quite straightforward: paste the link, press convert and then download. I then save it to Desktop. 2 Our CD players don't recognise MP3, they have to be converted to .wav. Download an excellent free program Audacity here. and drag and drop the MP3 file onto it. 3 Now quite straightforward File/Export/Export as WAV. 4 You now have to burn onto a CD-R disc - not CD-RW. I use BurnAware Free from here. 5 Again very easy: click Burn Audio Disc, drag/drop the .wav file and make sure you click for the slowest burn rate in this case 10x. Hope it works for you. |
