2.0 petrol engines

I was just wondering, when Rover got rid of the 2.0 petrol engine v6 ones, i got wondering when the 1.8T took over how many survivors of the 2.0 petrol v6 engines are left? as 2002 was the last ones made, well before the 2005/2006 later ones which came out.

how many 2.0 litre engines are left? question how many in the club?:shrug:

Don't know, but I have a Moonstone V6 Auto Connie 2 litre. Lovely car to drive.

Change in taxation for fleet owners meant the demise of the 2 litre in favour of the turbo, which is miles better anyway:cool::D

I've got two, a MK1 which came off the line in 2003 and a MK2 which came off the line in 2004, both on an 04 plate.:D

I had a feeling the 2.0 V6 was still available after the 1.8T was launched, but only as a special order and not shown in the brochures ? :shrug:

Nice engine if you don't want to get anywhere too fast. My 1.8T was rapid and had light handling. Felt like a different car.
I gather the manual version is terribly underpowered so an auto box with the 2 litre is best.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a replacement camshaft and as a result I am having to replace the 1998 2.0 V6 engine Auto with a low mileage one - Auto, purchased from ‘welovemgfs’

"REMOVED FROM A 2002 ROVER 75 WITH A 2.0 V6 ENGINE. GOOD WORKING ORDER. INCLUDES WIRING LOOM & ALL ANCILLARIES IN THE PHOTOS. BELTS & OIL PUMP REPLACED 4,000 MILES AGO."

I am not a speed merchant or into slagging off the other engines in the range, just happy driving the V6 within the speed limit and keeping the S reg going :}

I have a 2.0 litre v6 engine, i brought a R75 for its parts, still a runner, i wanted for glass, and trim and stuff, like that, but actually had nothing off it except a horn, its still intact real wood model, early tourer 51 plate, shes got a 2.0 litre engine in her, low miles too 116000miles

still starts after months on not starting, just use it to move the car about on my drive, all covered up when not moving, amazed how reliable that 20.litre engine is, saying that the previous owner serviced it then took it off the road, so i bought it as is to stop turning into washing machine.

To look at the tourer it looks road user type, I will never use the engine, just left in the car, the number plate is a bit ironic too first letters BL.

I've got three. My daily driver (when it doesn't have broken screen and power steering leak), my "spares" car which I'm currently using, and a low mileage one to be cherished for continuing use into (my) old age.
