sunroof wind deflector
Hello people,
I am Martijn from the Netherlands, and since 3 weeks the proud owner of a long wanted 75 tourer Stirling. My car has a original sunroof. For this sunroof I would like to have a winddeflector. I used to have these winddeflectors on previous cars, and was very pleased with it. Is something like this possible for the Rover 75? greetings. |

when i had my last car (Honda accord) I bought some deflectors for my doors and i can remember seeing some for the 75 so i was thinking if they do them for the doors they might do them for the sunroof ( www.extremeautoaccessories.co.uk) Regards NICK NICK :driving: |
Hallo Martijn,
Welkom met je eerste post op dit geweldige forum, en van harte gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van je Tourer. After the welcome in your native language back to English again so the rest of the members can follow us also. I hope you can find the time to read al the info because it will take some evenings to do, and there are lots and lots of very interesting posts all 75 or ZT owners should have read, also when you have no technical trouble at all. If you have a original sunroof, there is a build in deflector what should come up on the front side of the sunroof housing. Just when the sunroof starts to move backwards you must be able to see this happen. This only happens when the sunroof is sliding backwards. If you open the sunroof in "up" position the deflector stays in the housing. I hope this will help. Rob. |
Hello Rob,
Thanks for your reaction. Indeed there is a original deflector, but this doesn't do much. I was used to have the sunroof opened halfway, and not hear too much noise. With the original deflector thisn isn't possible. It is very noisy. Also when it is opened just a bit. I will have a look at BMW deflectors. Maybe this will fit. Thanks for your congratulations for buying a 75 Tourer. It is one of the most beautiful and comfortable cars we have ever owned. We have driven a new model Volvo V70 before this. The 75 is a much better car. Greetings, Martijn. Nick, also many thanks for the reaction. |

I think most Sunroofs are a standard size so this should fit. |

Would not mind one myself. How do they fit? |
Sunroof deflectors
Our previous car (Montego Estate TD) had a sunroof deflector which was the genuine Rover part which had three slender metal clips which were screwed throught the deflector and then looped down and clipped below the sunroof aperture,we never had any water ingress.
A previous sunroof deflect we tried just stuck on two-side tape to roof but this did not stay on firmly so we thne got the genuine part. |
I have a Sealed in Bag new one for a Rover 620.
I will have to look and see if they can be fitted/adjusted. |
