Recommend some front Dampers.

My favourite daily driver ZT-T 1.8T does appear to bottom out all too readily over full road width traffic calming devices.

I suspect the two front Dampers ( Shock Absorbers ) are worn and will need renewal.

I plan to keep this car as my favourite daily driver so, would a set of the "superior" brand dampers be a wise buy for this keeper or would a new pair of OEM dampers be sufficient?

I also have a spare MG ZT 1.8T saloon which is most unlikely to return to the road ever again. I am tempted to swap the worn ones on my daily driver ZT-T 1.8T with those from the 70,000 miles only saloon. Any problems here or are the Tourer and Saloon front suspensions different?

Any recommendations by folks who have been there and done that would be appreciated.

I think DMGRS (Matt) has complete new ones in stock!

He does indeed - Delphi full strut, top mount and spring sets for ZT/ZTT 1.8/1.8T's - good price as well so have invested in a pair. :}

Doubt you'll find any non std front dampers for the zt. My choice would have been monroe gasmatic were they available. I've just bought a pair of std spec from rimmers, should really have changed the springs as well, but looming mot meant I couldn't wait for the 2nd order.
