Old photos.
 

Just spent an hour looking at some old photos of nearby.
The roads have improved since the 1st. The 2nd is of a pub that was not given permission to be built on council grounds after complaints from local church goers,so had permission from railway company to build here. The 3rd is the old coal tip above Bargoed which was finally removed in the 70s.
