Great North Classic Show

With no MG Northumbria this year there's always this :smilie_re:
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spec...-show-16077673. Nothing to do with me just came across the link

Just a reminder, this event takes place next Saturday if anyone’s interested.

At £10 ticket, this looks like a good show to see a variety of rare and expensive exotica. I notice that there is a concourse category for "Future Classics", at which several members cars I have seen could successfully compete (but not mine!) Thanks for showing this, Rich. I am tempted.

Great Northern Classic Car Show

Had a great day out at this show, and we even got to do a tour of the Aston Martin workshops, to say it was unbelievable is an understatement, must have been around £1/2 billion of work in the AM workshop, in every single state, from full body restoration, and each part of the workshop, had a specialist area, engine rebuilt which takes around 6 weeks, and then once done it comes with a 10 year warranty, and they even make replacement panels by hand. and the place was spotless. I was speaking to one of the painters, and for quite a lot of the cars it costs around £20-30k to repaint if an older cars, but the quality was outstanding

Also met up with Myfirstrover (Jon) who was in his Porsche, after he had just bought it back after selling it, and it looked very nice indeed

Hopefully Jon will post up some pictures as he had his camera

Looks like a great show, I will have to get prepared for this for next year. As it was, I spent the weekend preparing my cutter bar, and cutting weeds with my'49 grey Fergie. I have/had a lot of weeds in the horse field. The Fergie, despite standing out all winter, and having a u.s. starter motor, ran perfectly after a couple of turns on the crank handle!

RPWC 9th July 2019 19:20

I will try and get next year too
