My problems were manifold...

Scary day yesterday. Went to see Mike, ended up with a replacement inlet manifold. On the journey to manifold perfection we discovered what had been done to the car by a previous owner;

Expert hands doing worrying things in the engine bay;

She's very much better now! The sealant they used was in the VIS motor space as well, and there were no flaps/butterflies left in the manifold at all!
It's nice having another part of the car working properly. Onwards and upwards I think...

I've just changed mine as it would wake the dead! Still got the old one might strip it and sell it to the petrol heads who drive the ZS 180s on the org forum. I'm sure it will look a bit better than your old one lol!
Bet your car is smooth baby!:D
Fuel consumption would be better lets hope too.

Would you care to point out on the first picture exactly where the problem is :shrug:
I'm struggling to see it :eek:

The innnerds have been removed thus no power or balance flaps. Hence the silicone **** sealing the unit.:o
This is for newcomers who will no doubt come across this lol!

I don't really know anything at all about cars, I've just been lucky this far..
I'm really looking forward to getting my Green Machine done now though, I have a thing for that V6 motor that's not going to go away....I'm glad it's OK now, I'll no doubt have used the only working manifold out of the three I'd put aside..http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...cons/icon7.gif

Looking from the pics i did the how to bit by the chap who was kind enough to do a how to. I was willing to pay a chap 30 notes for doing it but after being let down I took the challenge and its the best step by step to go by.
After un doing the throttle housing the bolts holding the inlets was the last bit and all was out of the way.
Im a happy chap and thank goodness for the guys on here.:bowdown:

I know, it is really subtle isn't it? Mike had to point it out to me too. If you look really closely in the first picture you'll see a slight discolouration just at the edge of the underside of the manifold.
I think it was the virtually invisible nature of the alterations that had me so perplexed. ;)

Can't see why anyone would want a stripped out inlet manifold!
I have tried it on my 190 and its lacks any low revs power!

Happiness is a fully functioning Inlet Manifold. :}
