Rattling Rover

Surprised to hear a clatter at idle today - sounds like the crank pulley is about to buy the farm. Common enough problem, but the surprise was it's not on my Moon mileage car but Mrs Noc's 75, which has only done 107k miles. :getmecoat:

Luckily got a spare in the garage so a job for tomorrow morning. :}

Hi Mike.
Let us know how you go, if the old bolts come out easy or you have to use a scaffold pole as leverage, will you be changing the belts at the same time? i am sure you i know about the 100Nm+60+60+30

All done Steve - didn't need to use the scaffold pipe to undo the old one, just my trusty breaker bar, but did to tighten the bolt after fitting the replacement.

I didn't change the belts as they were done recently and look perfect with no cracking. Front brake pads are looking a tad thin though so they will get done in the next week or two. :}

Old one fell in half as soon as it was off:
