MGZT 1.8t cambelt change

I've recently bought a ZT and although the cambelt was changed only 15000 miles ago, I've noticed that it was done in November 2013.
I'm thinking of getting this done when the MOT and Service is due in February but was wondering if I'm doing this unnecessarily early . As the car only cost me £450 and is otherwise in excellent condition (54000) miles I don't want to take any unnecessary risks but I know it's a pricey job.

This does indeed generate a lot of debate over the 6 year rule , and I have never yet found a belt which was in bad condition just because of its age .:shrug: However , I do support the 6 year frequency as it gives an opportunity to check the condition of the idler and drive pulleys with the belt tension removed , which I have found to be at bigger risk than the belts themselves :}
If you are taking it to a garage , choose your garage with care ! Experience is what you are looking for .

Thanks for the advice both. Yes my garage is excellent, made up of ex MG/Rover staff.
I've had two 75s and a ZS in the past and they've looked after them superbly.
