What's it worth? ZT-T 190 with only 15k miles
I know someone with a mint ZT-T 190 with only 15,000 on the clock. I know very little about the car other than it is immaculate and the owner's widow is looking to sell.
It's a mk2 in X-Power Grey with coordinating grey Axis half-leather, riding on standard 11-spoke alloys but with no obvious extras.The car has been part of a small fleet and used almost exclusively for towing the caravan hence the low mileage. Its MOT history is flawless without a single advisory ever and is currently MOT'd until March. I've no idea what service history the car has or whether the belts have been done but I know he was an enthusiastic and generally looked after his own cars. The car is an 06 plate but fortunately was registered 2 weeks before the car tax rates went up. With average mileage it would easier to value but this car is a rarity. I'd be interested in ideas of its value. |
Difficult one, because the value is based on what people are prepared to pay for it. I’d be tempted if I didn’t have a low mileage ZT already. The best thing to do would be to advertise it on a specialist site with good visibility, not Gumtree or the like. Otherwise you could set a reserve that you are comfortable with and put it on eBay...

I agree, stick it up on car and classic and get the price it deserves.

Keep us informed of where and when its for sale, pictures would be nice. :bowdown:

That sounds nice, I may of course be a little biased :}
A low mileage unabused example should fetch a good price, coupled with the fact it's a tourer should make selling a cinch. I agree with the aforementioned sentiment, a classic car auction may be the way forward to achieve the best price, as outside of the circle of those who know what these cars are all about, they are viewed as thirsty old cars which cost a lot to maintain and run. Without doubt enter it into a classic car auction. The low mileage and immaculate condition will be a major attraction and, unlike other methods of selling, the price can only go up. :D Simon |
The idea of a classic car auction had crossed my mind too. The owner wants a no-fuss sale and has no particular expectations for its value but it's right she earns what it's worth. I'm going to speak again with her later this week and suggest auctioning it. If I can get a few more details about the car I'll post them up.

Go on then , I'll stick my neck out !
Put a reserve of £3000 on it :eek: |
If a dealer gets hold of it.......£6,000.
|
It's an odd one .
If it was as good as stated and has been kept out of the weather then .in theory not practice. What would an immaculate top spec car be worth at 3 years old . With the same milage . Even if someone pays £6000 they are getting a bargain based on the description But the reality is compo different If the offer was £2000 ? Would it be accepted What it the registration number ? |
