Body work repair recommendations

7 Attachment(s)
Long ago owner had a rear-end shunt. Car declared Cat D and a bit of a bodge repair undertaken. The boot lid doesn't fit particularly well onto the rear window line, nor the bumper. There's been a respray to the rear offside wing which fades into the "C" pillar. Even I can see the join. Although it doesn't affect the running of the car I'm thinking of having it all redone for aesthetic reasons. I'm wondering whether the boot lid was distorted in the accident and a replacement will solve the poor fit. Any recommendations/guesstimates on price welcomed. Some decent workshops nearby (Brighton area) if it's a general repair, however am prepared to travel if someone is a Rover 75 specialist. Happy to provide more pictures if required.

quite far from you but I use Daniel at cleckheaton body repairs. He done some respray work on my typhoon and his work is amazing, could not fault his work on mine one bit.

He's very familiar with most of the MG Rover range, he's done many 75's and ZTs.

He's the go to person for us monogram owners when we need some paintwork done.

If you're on facebook there's a facebook page with many pics of cars he's worked on here: https://www.facebook.com/Cars-painte...1267497141872/

Check the hinges on the boot, these bend easily when a smack on the back end happens.

Thank you, good idea. It will be cheaper to change those in the first instance. I think originals are still available through Rimmer Bros. Straightforward task?

Yes, ten min job to swap the hinges, two 10mm headed bolts and two 13mm headed ones, another ten mins to line up the shut lines when done.
