Abs
Hiya folks, I wonder if you could advise me? If there's a fault on the ABS do we get a light on the Info centre on the dash telling us which wheel it's on?
Cheers |
Nope, youvsometimes get the abs light on, but youvhave to diagnose what is causing the issue.
You can get vibration through the pedal with no light on too, what are the symptoms you are having? Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk |
When I slow down to a virtual stop, I get a sensation through the brake pedal similar to the ABS kicking in but also a knocking type sound in time with the rotation of the wheels. It doesn't happen every time though and there is no warning light. Thanks for your response mukka.

Hi Dave. what you are getting is the ABS rumble through the pedal, which most of time indicates there is some rust on the bearing, nine times out of ten it is the off side rear bearing. Do you know what the state of your rear back plates are like, as they are the culprit most of the time. There are tests you can carry out with a Multimeter or get it hooked up to a T4 you are not that far from bigRuss about an hour i think maybe drop him a PM to get hooked up. good link to read through https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=251059 |
Thanks Arctic, you're right I'm not too far from Russ, been to him a couple of times over the years. I'm not sure about the back plates and I have nowhere to work on the car. I have read articles on here after I posted the question.
