Coming out!

As a stocky, ruff, gruff Yorkshireman, I decided to get myself a white rose for the garden (new interest since not having a 75 to fettle ). I have tended the twiggy plant and its buds, feeding and watering it and the buds are now open. One problem. It's chuffin pink! Doh!:duh: "She" likes it, so she can have it!;)

Another trip to the garden centre it is then!

As a fellow rose admirer, I suggest looking through Cants of Colchester's catalogue to select your rose. Their caatalogue is full of information including accurate photographs and one can actually visit the rose field just outside Colchester.

It could have been worse - a red rose for instance!!

Here in Bolton that's the preferred colour!

I suppose a pink rose is a marriage between a white and a red! One of my old schoolmates married a lass from Haslingden. Now she was a strange one! :D
