Belgian MGR Dealers?

My ZT190 was sold new to Belgium in 2002 but there is no record of the dealership it went to.
Being the curious type I am wondering if anyone knows the names of any Belgian MGR dealers from back in the day.
Not sure what I will do with the info as I'm sure any records are long gone but it might be fun to try and source or replicate a dealer decal or something similar for the car.

ZT in Canada must be a very rare sight in Canada:D

Our petrol 75&ZT are from the Netherlands and now on Belgian plates...

Regarding your question, think there is only one left, Cammans in Putte. Perhaps they can help and maybe even delivered it.
Just checked, website is not active anymore, the last not standing any more?

Glad I can do all the stuff myself, just done distribution on a kv6 75 (first time, but have done many distribution belts in the past) and it is running fine after over 1000kms :}
ZT 190 of my son is next up in a couple of months :viking:

Thanks for the leads guys!
As far as I know my ZT is the only one west of Toronto which is 4300km east of here (And that one is owned by a fellow from Newfoundland!)

I will check out the Belgian forum. It's a shame that the last Belgian dealer seems to have faded away, but you have to give them credit for hanging on for so long.
Rob, my 190 followed the opposite route to yours. It was shipped to Belgium when new and came to me via a friend, from Van Leeuwen's in The Netherlands along with two 75's which my friend kept for himself (One manual, one automatic, both are V6s) All 3 cars are in excellent rust-free condition and appear very well taken care of.
I'm very glad we were able to make a deal on the ZT as I really love the car.

Just out of curiosity, why are so many Dutch owned cars on Belgian plates?

Hi
On Google Maps it is now a 2nd hand car dealer specialising in newer cars - however the MG Rover service sign is still up and the there is a big Rover Flag in the window - maybe for effect ??

If still in business, I should take a small trip and see how they are doing, it is less than half hour drive if no traffic.

Why Dutch Rovers/ZT on Belgian plates? As petrol engines with more than 2litre capacity (like in Italy) you pay a lot of money to get it registered (the license plate is with the owner, not the car, so you fork out everytime you register car..., clever scheme) and road tax and insurance is horrendous due to it as well. Thus the 2.5KV6 was sold new in low numbers in Belgium (why do we run 3x 75s diesels, now you know).

Me and my son were looking for ours and it wasn't available on the secondhand market (or not the quality or price we wanted to pay;)) in the last couple of years. In the Netherlands, roadtax is (was?) related to the weight of the vehicle, not capacity or power, so more KV6 2.5s were sold....., thus more Rovers/ZTs to our liking in the pond.

There was a Belgium MGRover dealer in Ypres in 2001-They did a good job on our Rover100 and had a big showroom of 75's. Got a tophose from Strasbourg and fitted it in 24hours. It hadn't burst but was showing leaks through the fabric. Chris.S.
