Cdt maf sensor
Fault with MAF car runs like a bag of bolts with it connected fine without.
Seen all the posts with people saying only replace with genuine parts so not interested in any comments regarding that.:duh: The question is has anybody had any joy with an aftermarket sensor either complete unit or just a replacement sensor, find it difficult to see why so many aftermarket products are frowned upon,YES not all are good but majority will be as these companies won,t last 5 minutes selling NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- all the time. |
A common failure & I've tried several aftermarket items, none of them successful with either not working correctly straight out of the box, failing within months or failing just outside of the warranty period!
I only give my customers two options now: Leave it disconnected (some have been driving around for years like this) or Fit a genuine Bosch item. Good luck finding a aftermarket product that will work & last. |
After some serious searching some have had luck with cheap aftermarket units some not so good.if you just want to change the sensor they are available genuine and aftermarket part no is F 00C 2G2 029 some have had luck using a unit ending in 030 & 032 surprising how many other vehicle brands these sensors are in,changing just the sensors saves about £50 or so.

Yes the sensors are in other cars like Freelander 1 BMW but again always buy as an whole unit others wise you stand getting your fingers burnt, if you want to save money over the Original Bosch unit then the link below is the best you are going to get, lots of threads and work carried out by many members on this subject over a few years, good luck try not to take chances ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381351136629?ul_noapp=true |
Bosch have already said they will and do not sell the sensor separate from the whole unit, therefore any sensor stating it is genuine will not be.
Apologies if i am in anyway incorrect:bowdown: Can,t see that so you are saying that all the so called BOSCH sensors (just the sensor) for sale via Amazon/E bay and parts factors that say they are genuine bosch are in fact fake item,s i think they would be letting themselves open for some serious sh1t if that were the case. Found these parts suppliers they seem reasonable for most parts all items have 2 year warranty some have 3 years.:}:} https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/mhk101130 this is just for MAF Sensor. |
I said it that many times I'm getting sick of saying it.
I have tested every possible aftermarket maf sensor for our cars and there is not one that runs within the spec of the original Bosch maf for our cars I don't sell parts I've no connection to those who do. It's your car, your choice but if you want your car to run correctly fit the correct Bosch one ;) Russ |
