Vomit covered woman loses case
This is truly amazing.
Apparently a woman called Cheryl Pile got so drunk she was arrested. In the cell the Police noticed she had fallen over and vomited all over herself. So they went in, cleaned her up, changed her clothes. She was fined £60 for being drunk and disorderly but brought a case against the Police for breaching her human rights. The High Court Judge rejected the case saying that changing her clothes was “an act of decency”. Dismissing Ms Pile’s case the Judge said that the claimant had sought the right “to establish the liberty of English inebriated subjects to lie undisturbed whilst marinating in their own vomit”. He went on to say that allowing her case would be seen as a “grotesque result” if she had been awarded compensation. I just hope this stupid woman now gets the full focus and attention such crass behaviour deserves. |
Truly amazing indeed.
And a judge with common sense :D. But seriously it's pathetic that it got as far as it has. I trust that the tax payer hasn't footed the bill? I hope that she doesn't get to keep any monies the the media or anyone else offers her for her "story." :duh: Andy. |
a slightly different take on the story
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news...vomit-18960069 and https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...yside-54211089 Now, should we hope that she again is arrested covered in her own vomit and then left in her clothes? macafee2 |

As I have said for many years now, the world is full of stupid people (see, pandemic and a mask is a breach of my human rights ) and there are more and more of them every single day.
