Bonnet gap.
 

I've looked at loads of pictures but can't really see for sure.

Does the facelift ZT suffer from the same ill fitting/shape front bumper that leaves a huge gap like the facelift 75?

To me, some 75 colours accentuate the gap on the facelift. I know it's the same size but it doesn't look as bad on some.... before I got my firefrost mk2 I thought the front gap was a deal breaker.
The ZT looks better but that may be the different grille making the gap less pronounced?

Yes it does Mike, the culprit is the polystyrene foam bumper infill, its to small, putting some polystyrene wedges at the bottom of the infill will raise it and eliminate that unsightly gap.

Mine is silver, and it does make the gap look bigger. I have lifted it as far as it will go, but it still looks rubbish.

Do we have an "how to" on how to pack the infill, or will it become obvious when I pull the bumper off?

where do you put the additional polystyrene?
The existing is sort of number plate height, wont adding more there sort of push the front of the bumper away from the car? Are we trying to move the top front edge up by pushing the front away thus rotating the bumper?.

I had an old insert lying around so I used that, a couple of inches wide and length wise and upto about 4mm at its thickest point, several bits were used along its length. this was then forced in gently between the bottom of the foam insert and the bumper, a little dollop of glue or mastic to keep it in place, foam to foam only, and not on the bumper,
basically you are forcing the insert into the top of the bumper so as to reduce the gap at the bottom of the foam.
Wait for it to dry before refitting the bumper to the car, a tip is to smear a little bit of grease to the front edge of the crash beam so as to ease the now very tight bumper into place.

I believe you are correct, I hope Ched will advise if we have got it wrong.

So, the foam insert fits into the bumper, it also sits on the crash beam, the foam insert is too small height wise hence the bumper sag, what you are doing is adding packing to the bottom of the foam insert eliminating that gap, this then lifts the bumper that couple of mm thus removing that unsightly gap between bonnet and bumper.
One other thing I've just remembered is the crash beam, ensure it sits as high as it can, there is also a chance that if you do raise the beam you then may not need to pack the bottom of the insert out, its also easier if you remove the headlights when taking the bumper on and off to get it right, theres also less chance of damaging it.
