A quick bit of information, regarding the tourer spare wheel tray.

I have recently bought one, and I'm fairly certain that it was designed to fit in conjunction with the early horseshoe shape jack & tools holder.

Having said that, it can be fitted, and the boot floor will shut OK. However, it will need some additional support to stop it rocking about the spare wheel clamp bolt.

The spare wheel bolt itself was too short, by perhaps 3/8", to locate into it's captive nut.

Can't remember for certain, but I tried it with a space saver wheel, and think that it located OK.

Still well worth while having.

I actually have the early tool holder, but it clearly bolts on from underneath the car.
The later polystyrene inserts, to fill the gap in place of the horseshoe version, looks as if it also needs undoing from underneath, possibly with the exhaust dropped out of the way.

I'm waiting for a full day to get back onto this "upgrade"

Regards

Mike
