Running water sound behind dashboard - 2.0 kv6

Hi all.

Slightly concerned about a running water sound behind my dashboard on startup - especially cold starts!

I always run the car with the temp display on, and I can guarantee the car has never overheated in the last 5 years. Highest temp ever seen was 101 before the low speed fan brought it back down.

I have no coolant loss at all.

This sound is annoying / worrying but not getting any other symptoms?

Anyone had similar?

Had s few do this it is just the water going through the heater matrix

Along with some air bubbles, otherwise there will be no sound at all. I'd suggest a Haynes bleed is required.

Have known this with 1.8's as well and will concur with T C that you have some air entrained in the system
