Paint Question

Apologies if this should be in the Valeting forum, thought it better here but Mods please move if necessary.

Is the Land Rover paint code JFM - 644 the same as the Rover paint code JFM as used on 75's? Looking to touch in some paint chips and also at some point remove the front mudflaps and repair the area behind and beneath.
Any tips on the best way to repair the area most welcome. Has anybody ever repaired the area and replaced the mudguards after putting in some form of protection?

Thanks in advance.

 Was hoping someone could give a definitive answer, could always try it off the car first I suppose to see how alike it is.

Try it on the inside of the petrol flap...

That's an idea.

Thanks for the tip. Should be easier to see if its a good match. That's something for the weekend then.... weather permitting.

Yes, Land Rover "Oslo Blue" is Rover "Royal Blue" same paint code JFM ;)

Thanks for the conclusive answer

Good to know there is a relatively easily available paint match.
Any advice on mudflap removal and the best way to repair the area would be welcome. Hoping that once they are removed that the damage will not be too great. Had wondered if possible to repair area in such a way that mudflaps could be replaced without causing future problems?

Brian is correct, Ive used both mixes and they appear to be identical mixes on my JFM car.
