Reviving a Mk3 Sat Nav Computer
Hi all, doubtless this has been asked before and I just haven't found it yet but, is it possible to revive a dead Mk3 sat nav computer or is it just an expensive paper weight now? :icon_cry:
I suspect that the previous owner didn't properly shut the sat nav down before disconnecting the power (no red light, no CD eject, no option for sat nav on highline screen) |
Hi, surprised you haven't had any other answers. Yes, it is possible to repair these, but beyond some gentle cleaning of corrosion, leave it to the experts.
There are some repair services (I haven't used any myself) Here's one that advertises on Ebay here Try searching the Web for BMW Mk3 SAT Nav repair. |
Hi, thanks for the info. I’ll have a look around. Cheers.

Hi , I managed to repair mine some time back.
here's the thread. https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...&highlight=sat Some others added pics that help as well. Take your time and be gentle and it's all pretty straight forward really. Good luck John |
Sorry, I didn't take in your question fully, my repair was just down to the water ingress problem.
