£20-£30 a wheel sounds excellent!. if i do not get a high finish myself then i will consider using the company youve recomended, thanks for your time in uploading pictures etc. I will post some pictures on here if i can work out how to upload as ive had problems trying to do it??..

Pop over to City powder coats and have them dipped in acid to remove all paint and corrosion, powder coated and baked then sprayed to a fantastic OEM finish. You know it makes sense Rodney!;) It will add that extra to your car too! |
wheel corrosion
Although no way as badly corroded as the wheels in the photos, I have started to refurb my gridspokes but was concerned that under the flaky paint some corrosion might have weakened the alloy. Do you think there are any safety concerns with this.

Thank you brian.
Thanks for the info and putting my mind at rest over corrosion safety. The wheels pictured after treatment are a picture, almost better than new. Trouble is now I am locked in ( both the wife and I fall into the shielded group ) I will have to wait ages till I can head up to the midlands and get the beasts wheels done proper like. The prices quoted cant still be available surely, the d.i.y. materials cost more than that, and although my labour costs nothing it really isn't worth breaking my back to arrive at the same cost and probably a poorer finish. RATS TO CORONAVIRUS.
