squealing/whistling kind of noise

get this weird kind of noise when either braking or driving freely...

convinced its coming from at least one of the wheels...anyone know what this could be?

bubs 15th July 2015 15:47

checked the brake pads/discs?

chipsceola 15th July 2015 15:56

got a stone trapped in front disc?

Check for a rim of rust around the edge of the disc. It fouls the pad/backing plate as it builds up. Can also be a wheel bearing that needs replacing/adjusting as the wheel/disc then sits slightly out of alignment.(disc touching pad/backing plate)

very possibly the disc, they do have a layer of rust on em

quick wheel removal and scrape down with a brillo all thats needed?

KWIL 16th July 2015 10:07

A brillo will not be of much use to clear the edge rust build up which is reality is the edge left behind as the disk wears in normal use.

When you say the disks have a rust, is this only the edge or more generally?
