Hello Paul and welcome to the club :) I visited your city years ago whilst I was doing some private work and remembered how friendly everyone was. I had the opportunity to visit The Hermitage and other beautiful buildings. I also remembered how resourceful people were in being able to find solutions to difficult problems as well as being able to get parts for different things.

Perhaps some of your fellow country men and women might join this club?

Welcome to the club Paul sir, some fine pictures of your outstanding Rover 75, a genuine classic car and a beautiful example. Last year `we' had the pleasure of accommodating a party of 25 young scouts, (male and female) from St. Petersburgh as part of my duties on one of my many committees; they were great ambassadors and behaved in an exemplary manner. Good luck with your 75 and you will find many items here extremely useful. Mike.

How to bring parts of England?
I know that Ebay Pay Pal is needed, but I never made it.

Deerhound 12th April 2012 17:43

Perhaps write it in French (en français, peut-être)? I *might* be able to understand... It's the first sentence I don't understand. I think I understand the rest.

I want to buy some spare parts for the machine. How can they deliver in Russia and how to pay for them.

Who do you mean by 'they'? Some people on this forum sell parts; some might send them to Russia, some might not. The method of payment would depend on the person. If you want to buy from a company, it would probably be best to ask them.

I really hope that helps but if you don't understand, don't be afraid to ask and I will try again :}

pob06 16th April 2012 20:20

Hi there, welcome to the club.

I recently visited seancar one of the spare part traders on the forum and I am positive he told me he regularly sends parts to Russia (I think he said every now and then a lorry comes over and picks up spares, engines and gearboxes).

Perhaps he can help you. If you have difficulty contacting him please send me a personnal message and your contact details and I will speak to him on your behalf).

I hope that helps

I hope the following translations work.

You have a really nice car!!! I am thinking of getting alloy wheels for my car but it is very hard to try find some that match the car other than the OEM rover ones. All the pictures on this thread are helping me to decide :xmas-smiley-004:

I am glad that I can help you with something. Just wearing the wheels on the car, they can estimate suitable to him or not) So you have to experiment, although it is costly event.:xmas-smiley-022:

Ok Мark) Certainly before possible))) By the way, my name is Eugene, so it's nice to meet you!

PS: the correct name of my town - Voronezh ;)

Radiomarko 10th March 2013 06:56

Ah yes sorry Eugene, Voronezh. I have travelled around Russia for 20 years but my Russian is still very bad, so rely on a translator, it let me down there! I can read and understand OK, but I have terrible grammar as the complicated tenses are completely impossible....

I went past Voronezh a few years ago on a trip to Volgograd by train, so many places to visit!

Please tell me how the 75 does on those Russian roads? Have you upgraded the springs?

PechOK 10th March 2013 14:14

It's okay) Russian language is very difficult, maybe, do not worry .... the more so because my English is even worse than yours Russian) I also rely on an interpreter. But apparently we still understand each other))))
About Rover - spring I did not raise, as the roads in the town in the main acceptable quality. And he's not my only car, but rather a favorite toy. I would like to make your Rover is even lower. So now developing an air suspension option.:)
