Electric seat screeching when adjusting

Ive had a quick poke around but wit hit getting dark so early its not easy... When the drivers seat is moved rearwards its makes quite a screech about half way back. Its not for the entire adjustment just for a few seconds halfway.

Im hoping its just a runner or something that needs a smear of grease. But until then Ive told dearest driver to try not to adjust it too much until we have a better idea.

TIA

There may well be some dirt on the runner making the movement go tight.
Personally I would lubricate the runners with Silicone lubricant spray available at Halfords and the like, grease attracts dust and dirt where as silicone dries leaving a coating which stays clean.

Thats a fine idea! Annoyed at myself for not thinking about how grease attracts dirt haha

As a fast non greasy check, spray the runners with some WD 40,

If that works then you'll know a proper lubricant is what you need.
